For most of the PBA Tour, tournaments are one squad, which PBA says is something desired by most players to eliminate squad equity issues. Two exceptions are the USBC-operated U.S. Open and USBC Masters, which feature three squads. That means the players who bowl later in the day on a pattern — each qualifying day at the U.S. Open and the first day in the USBC Masters — have the advantage of seeing how early squad players attack a pattern.
